The Hail Mary Club

Good Afternoon Ladies & Gentlemen,

Let's see. Tiger won again. Game 6 of the Finals is later tonight. TV pundit Tim Russert died. So did movie special effects GOD Stan Winston. Does that really effect me? Not a heck of a lot. However, I did get a suggestion for the next adventure with the Wingmans…and it's quite intriguing. It's a list of the eight greatest rollercoasters in the world according to this link…and it spans four continents…including stops in the tri-state area, Disneyland, Spain, Denmark, Hong Kong, and Australia. It's very doable…but on our budget, it's going to take some planning. I'm up for it though. Check them out at this link and let me know if you'd be interested.

Last night, I watched "Belly" starring Nas & DMX for the first time since it first came out. It has always been one of my favorite drug drama movies because it's the story of two cats who came up together…then went separate ways, Tommy (DMX) tried to be a kingpin in the drug trafficking game before he was sold out, while his best friend (Nas) read up, got educated, and tried to lead the life of a square. The movie was written & directed by famous music video director Hype Williams…and it looks that way. Very stylized, dramatic colors & images, like a 90 minute music video collaboration…but with a story. Throughout there's a lot of internal monologue…but not so much that it makes you want the narrator to get capped like in some of these kind of "outta da hood" movies…and the last ten minutes of the movie is worth all the wait…with a great message for all to feel. Don't worry, not going to spoil it. Go check it out. You may just like it. One. Now for the news...

Italian Unicorn - Hundreds of people are flocking to a Tuscan nature preserve to catch a glimpse of its latest attraction - a deer with a single horn growing on its head nicknamed "Unicorn" in Prato, Italy. Park director Gilberto Tozzi says, "We have received so many calls from people and many are coming to see it. Sometimes he comes close to the fence, even if he is very shy." Single-horned deer are rare but not unheard of but experts say the central positioning of Unicorn's horn is unusual. Tozzi speculated that similar anomalies might have inspired the myth of the unicorn. The unicorn is a horse-like creature with magical healing powers. I'm not an expert on what those magical healing powers are at all…but I've heard (on Robot Chicken) that if you rub his horn long enough, apparently it releases magical mayonnaise…or maybe alfredo sauce, since it's an Italian Unicorn. Bon appetit everybody…

Italian Uniporn - An Italian couple who were caught having sex in a church confessional box while morning Mass was being said have repented and made peace with the local bishop. The couple, in their early 30s, were detained by police earlier this month after they had made love in the confessional box in the cathedral in northern Cesena. They were cautioned for obscene acts in public and disturbing a religious function. Their lawyer said they had been drinking all night and realized they had gone too far. Maybe it's just me…but kudos to those two!!! I thought I was the only one that thought the Mile High Club was okay…but the Hail Mary Club is so much better. There's nothing like making a beautiful woman scream your name in the house of the Lord. Also, during Mass? That's moxie. "Hello, my child. Do you have something to confess?" "Yes, yes, yeeees, YES, Oh GOD YEEEES!!!" "Well, what is it, my child?" "I'M CUMMING!!!" "Excuse me Madame?" "OH GOD, I'M CUMMING!!! YES!!!" "Stay toward the light, child!!! Always towards the light!!!" Trust me, it sounds even hotter in Italian with subtitles.

Ice Trojans - A New Zealand newspaper called the Southland Times (not to be confused with "Southland Tales" which usually reports on how the world ends) reported last week that one of the last shipments to a U.S. research base in Antarctica before the onset of winter darkness was a year's supply of condoms. Bill Henriksen, the manager of the McMurdo base station, said nearly 16,500 condoms were delivered last month and would be made available, free of charge, to staff throughout the year to avoid the potential embarrassment of having to buy them. About 125 scientists and staff are stationed at McMurdo base, the largest community in Antarctica, during the winter months when there is constant darkness. "Since everybody knows everyone, it becomes a little bit uncomfortable." Are you kidding me? A hundred plus sexual frustrated scientists…in a cold, barren wasteland…with nothing to do except research on snow & penguin droppings…in constant night…with a few hundred condoms per scientist? There's probably a lot of "experimentation" going on. At least nerds are getting laid. Good for them…okay, I mean good for us.

Iceasaurus - You may be wondering what kind of stuff they're researching down there in Antarctica. Well, scientists have found that cat-sized reptiles once roamed what is now the icebox of Antarctica, snuggling up in burrows and peeping above ground to snag plant roots and insects. The evidence for this scenario comes from preserved burrow casts discovered in the Transantarctic Mountains, which extend 3,000 miles across the polar continent and contain layers of rock dating back 400 million years. Apparently, it's these burrow casts found in the rock that indicate these creatures. Though no animal remains were found (due to some kind of mass flooding speculated 245 million years ago), the burrows are very similar to those found in South African burrows which contained a complete skeleton of an extinct mammal-like reptile called Thrinaxodon liorhinus. Anyway, if you're interested, feel free to check out the link.

Anyway, that's really about all I've got say today. I'd tell ya more about Vegas & that whole thing…but there's nothing new since last night. Have a great day everybody!!!
