Utah Pride Parade

Good Evening Ladies & Gentlemen,

Last night after watching "Ax Men" for...sigh, about nine hours (I told you it was a marathon...and I was kind of half-ass listening / packing), JL Clyde came over and we ate some Yoshi's sushi again and watched the Sci-Fi Channel remake of "Dune" with William Hurt and...well, the only other person I knew was Ian McShane. Now, I haven't seen anything to do with Dune in about twenty years. I remember a bunch of random images like a giant shrimp, floating fat guy with black stuff coming out of him, the floating needle that strikes movement, Sting, glowing blue eyes, giant worms, Jean Luc Picard was in it, and even as a kid, I remember Spice being an allegory for Oil in the Middle East (I was a quick kid, what happened?). I didn't even know that David Lynch directed the original...but it does make a lot of sense. The best part was that Ian McShane plays the floating fat guy...and I can't help but think of him as the guy in "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls" and I just can't see him in an evil light. Anyway, we made it about 2/3 of the way through it before we decided to call it a night because we had to get up early. Check it out if you like Dune. That's really all I have to say about that. Oh...and then I was getting calls while I was trying to go to sleep...so that didn't work out well.

This morning, I woke up with a pretty sore back...like a pulled muscle in my lower back. I'm pretty sure it happened when I was having a dream that I remember vaguely. Somebody that I cared about was in danger...and I was helping them...and it involved kicking a few asses...but eventually they surrounded me (probably ninjas, professional assassins, or some kind of bear zombie hybrid) and I just remember literally sitting up in bed throwing elbows and kicking. I may have even let out a "Hi-YAH!!!" So it may have just been a quick motion after laying for hours that did it. Anyway, now that you think I'm crazy (throwing punches in my sleep doesn't happen...which is why this was weird) let me continue with my morning.

I sent a birthday text to Alisa...because it's her birthday & she's AWESOME!!! Then I drove to meet up with JL Clyde & Randy Randy to see the Utah Pride Parade. For those of you who don't watch the news, this parade is not just about pride in the state of Utah (that's Pioneer Day on July 24th) but rather pride in being gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender...and for me, support that pride to be whoever the hell you wanna be. Besides, they throw the most festive parties and are always a hoot. Here are some pictures from the parade...but I screwed up and didn't recharge my camera battery...so I have about half the parade...
Beautiful day
Gotta love corporate sponsorship...
If I'm in town, I'm going to the Roller Derby
Leave It to Cleavers vs. Sisters of No Mercy
QUAC - Queer Utah Aquatic Club
Still think it's a little creepy...
Great suggestion - "Drink beer, be gay!!!"

After the parade, we went to have some breakfast at JB's and I enjoyed a wonderful Florentine Omelet (bacon) with pancakes and a few glasses of water. I don't fare well in direct sunlight for too long...so I have to keep hydrated...or else it gets bad. We made friends with a few of the waitresses who were interested in the Pride Festival and had a great meal...then we headed to the festival. I'm really bummed that I don't have any pictures to show you...but it's everything that you would have expected and more. Picture thousands of flamboyant individuals, surrounded by their peers, in a beautiful park (Salt Lake City-County Building), with Bud Light as a corporate sponsor (booze all around), and great local musical acts.

It was a LOT of fun...and I saw some friends and former coworkers there too. We had a few drinks, parked under a tree, listened to Kid Medusa (the drummer/singer/keyboard went to high school with JL Clyde & she was awesome...like Animal with blonde dreadlocks) and just chatted & people watched. We even had some gyros & dolmathis for lunch. Good times. I recommend chillaxing at a Pride Festival if you get the chance. It's incredibly entertaining just to sit back & observe...like a fly on the wall...and still show your support.

After about four hours, I decided that it was time for me to go home & take a nap (sunlight draining me) and get some water...so after a six block hike to my car, I drove home...and am now watching "Taking Lives" with Angelina Jolie & Ethan Hawke. It's a pretty good movie so far. Not entirely sure about the story (because I showed up half-way through) but I'm pretty sure that Ethan Hawke's gonna end up being the killer...and it doesn't matter...because I get to look at Angelina's eyes & lips for another hours between commercials. Why can't Angelina run for President instead of Hillary? I wouldn't mind seeing that mug on my television for twelve hours a day taking about health care, the economy, and all the kinky things she does in the oval office (wait, that was Bill), but just...think about it. I know I will.

Anyway, I'm gonna go take a nap now...because I'm a little tired. Again, happy birthday to Alisa!!! Oh and Vegas, any time that you wanna call...feel free to. Have a great day everybody!!!

Club Wet Gets a Worthy Plug

Good Evening Ladies & Gentlemen,

Yesterday, I was feeling especially lazy when my mom gave me the idea of heading down to hang with her...and before she got off work, I would hang with my brother for a few hours. Cool beans. So I drove down there. Shorty after arriving there, I get a text from my sister-in-law asking if I was going to see some boobs with them. "I sure hope so...but Vinny's the one who usually gets the action when I'm around." (It's a bad breastfeeding joke)

Apparently, it was Dollar Draft Night at the best gentlemen's club in Utah (which is kind of like saying the best burger joint in India) called Club Wet in West Haven. Formerly the Play Pen, I had never heard of this place before my brother's bachelor party over a year ago...and it was awesome...and in the middle of redneck country. So instead of hanging out with my mom and not-my-kids last night, I went to see mostly naked, beautiful women dance seductively for dollars...and get frosty beverages for similar dollars...for about four hours...and all for less than forty bucks, even helping out my brother & sister-in-law with tips (because they're always broke). Kudos to Phoenix, Cali, April, and Mary Jane for their incredible show. Oh...and they have pool tables too...and a great sound system. If you're ever in the area, check it out...even if it's not really your thing...because they have a pool table...and dollar beers on Thursday nights.

I don't know if I may be getting immune to the allure of gentlemen's clubs...but though I had a great time hanging with my brother & his wife...and the scenery was excellent & exhilarating all at the same time. My mind was elsewhere a little bit. Sure my eyes rarely left the stage...but ever girating gesture, flexible position, and sexually explicit stare just made me think about Vegas (and the other thoughts that jump in a man's head when he sees such activities). I know, big surprise (sarcastically). Needless to say, they still haven't called...and seeing as it's around midnight on a Friday...I'm guessing that it'll be at least Monday before I hear anything (unless they do another Sunday afternoon surprise).

After the club, I drove back (I was the Designated Driver...and you should always have one...and probably me) and my sister-in-law Ashley was already not feeling good...long story short, she had a rough morning at school...but she's doing much better now. My brother & I starting watched "Aliens" and just as I was getting ready to sleep on his horribly uncomfortable sofabed, I get a wonderful call from Bubbles...saying that San Diego is beautiful and boring...and how she wishes that I was there with her to entertain her...and help her through her migraines. We talked for about ten minutes as I put her at some ease...and said good night. Apparently, she text me back an hour later saying that just talking to me made her feel better. See? Sometimes all you have to do is listen...and you can make somebody's day. Anyway, I found that out this morning...because I passed out right after hanging up with her despite watching "Aliens" just before it got to the good part.

This morning, I awoke at 7:30 because some jerkass decided to mow outside my brother's window...but then fell back asleep as I plotted how to make it look like an accident...and really woke up around 11 AM. Basically, the kids were brought back from grandma's (my mom's) and we hung out watching movies and playing. Then in the evening, they invited some friends over like Bartles & Jaymes and a few of Ashley's coworkers...and we had a little barbecue. Good eats. Here are some new pictures of Vinny & Kairi...

Vinny always looks excited...

Kairi is a great big sister

Well, have no idea what I'm going to do tomorrow...but if I were a real jetsetter, I'd be in San Diego hanging out with Bubbles and making her have fun...but she'll have to wait until next time when we take a weekend trip out there once I move to Vegas. Yup, still confident about the job. JL Clyde invited me to hang out at Pride with her this Sunday (yes, as in the Gay Pride Parade) and at first, I was reluctant...mostly for the reason that I'm not gay...but that's like saying that you don't go to a St. Patrick's Day Parade because you're not Irish. In the end, she may have convinced me by mentioning the pleasure of her company, a beer garden, free stuff, snow cones, music, people watching, more free stuff, protestors (that I can mess with), and gay men bringing their straight (probably bisexual) and horny female friends. She drives a good argument...and knows what I like. So we shall see. In the meantime, have a great weekend everybody!!! Happy 19th Birthday to Micah Rose!!!

Birthday Eve

Good Morning Ladies & Gentlemen,

First off, a very happy birthday to Alfredo James Pacino today as he turns 68. He's one of greatest actors of all time...and the list of movies include "The Godfather" trilogy, "Scarface", "Scent of a Woman", "Dog Day Afternoon", "Serpico", "Heat", "Carlito's Way", "Insomnia", "Any Given Sunday", "Devil's Advocate", "Donnie Brasco", "Ocean's 13", even "Dick Tracy" as Big Boy. His newest "Righteous Kill" comes out soon, costarring Robert DeNiro & 50 Cent. Should be another classic. Anyway, have a great birthday buddy!!! I hope they don't make you work 18 hours today filming that Salvador Dali biopic.

Last night, I watched Guy Ritchie's latest movie (director of "Lock, Stock, & Two Smokin' Barrels", "Snatch", etc.) called "Revolver" starring Jason Statham, Ray Liotta, Andre Benjamin (Dre 3000 from Outkast) and others. It's about a former con man (Statham) who spent 7 years in jail for taking the fall...and is now looking to get paid. That's about all that I'm going to tell you at this point...because from there, it gets really awkward at times...but I would definitely recommend it, especially if you like Guy Ritchie (Mr. Madonna) movies.

Test Tube Meat - See what I miss when I'm too busy at work? Stories like these BEG me to make fun of them. The animal rights group PETA is putting up a million dollar reward for anyone who by 2012 can grow in-vitro meat that looks and tastes like the real thing. "In-vitro meat production would use animal stem cells that would be placed in a medium to grow and reproduce. The result would mimic flesh and could be cooked and eaten," PETA said in a statement. The million-dollar reward will go to the participant who manages by 2012 to put test-tube chicken into commercial production and successful sell it in at least 10 US states at a competitive price. The New York Times revealed Monday that the scheme almost triggered a civil war within the headquarters of the organization dedicated to fighting for animal rights but PETA argued the move would help avoid unnecessary suffering. "More than 40 billion chickens, fish, pigs, and cows are killed every year for food in the United States in horrific ways. In-vitro meat would spare animals from this suffering. In addition, in-vitro meat would dramatically reduce the devastating effects the meat industry has on the environment. Humans don't need to eat meat at all" since many people continued "to refuse to kick their meat addictions, PETA is willing to help them gain access to flesh that doesn't cause suffering and death."

Okay, so PETA's giving approval for stem cell research…as long as it's using animal stem cells. Aren't they some of the advocates for stopping stem cell research on humans? Actually, probably not…because humans aren't that important to them, right? Sorry, I'm not too familiar with PETA. Maybe somebody can shed some light for me. Too lazy to go to their website…and I don't want the government following me more than they already do. (Shhhhh, they're listening) Anyway, how do you make meat…without making the animal? Really? Is it going to be like the episode of South Park I saw the other day, where they grow ears (and other appendages) on the backs of rats…but instead of cartilage, it'll be a T-bone? I guess that's literally the million-dollar question. I like the idea of a PETA civil war over this though. "Now we're talking about growing test tube steaks? I thought we were trying to turn the world vegetarian." "No, don't you see? If they're in a test tube, they won't feel pain…and we'll be distracting scientists from finding cures for diseases…and instead finding an other other OTHER white meat." "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard." "Oh yeah, well I've got a test tube steak for ya right here, granola boy!!!" Slap fight ensues. $teve laughs at the thought. Hahaha!!! Besides, I'm a big fan of stem cells, as you may know from my occasion updates in the world of science…such as they can now turn stem cells into heart cells. Yay scientists!!!

Penis Theft in the Congo - I couldn't make this sh*t up if I wanted to. Police in Congo have arrested 13 suspected sorcerers accused of using black magic to steal or shrink men's penises after a wave of panic and attempted lynchings triggered by the alleged witchcraft. Reports of so-called penis snatching are not uncommon in West Africa, where belief in traditional religions and witchcraft remains widespread, and where ritual killings to obtain blood or body parts still occur. Purported victims, 14 of whom were also detained by police, claimed that sorcerers simply touched them to make their genitals shrink or disappear, in what some residents said was an attempt to extort cash with the promise of a cure. Police arrested the accused sorcerers and their victims in an effort to avoid the sort of bloodshed seen in Ghana a decade ago, when 12 suspected penis snatchers were beaten to death by angry mobs. The 27 men have since been released.

Holy crap!!! So much disturbing information to take in those few sentences. Mother Afrika, I love ya…but you are one crazy place to live. Sure, here in America we tease little kids with "Oop, got your nose" and they enjoy it…but apparently it's universal that if you even pretend to take away a man's hood, they will lynch you. Even the police chief said, "I'm tempted to say it's one huge joke but when you try to tell the victims that their penises are still there, they tell you that it's become tiny or that they've become impotent. To that I tell them, 'How do you know if you haven't gone home and tried it?" The Power of Suggestion, ladies & gentlemen. It's an incredible thing. Or maybe there really are mystics in the Congo shrinking heads & shafts and turning silverback gorillas into vicious killing machines…or maybe that was just a movie. Regardless, I'm glad that the police stepped in to save them…for now. Now there are three things that scare me…nuclear war, carnies, and penis theft.

Going Undercover - A police officer was forced to resign on Wednesday for having sex with a prostitute at a building he had been sent to investigate to see if it was a brothel. The police sergeant, who was not named, had "engaged in sexual activity with a sex worker" while on duty in east London in December 2005, the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said. He was supposed to be finding out if the premises were being used for prostitution. You know, I'm not an officer of the law…or a lawyer or anything…but I would say, "Mission Accomplished!!!" That's what I call good police work. Going undercover, into enemy territory, infiltrating the trust of the organization, learning all the ins & outs of the operation, obtaining leads into subsidiaries and other markets, gathering evidence to be used in a court of law, and catching the perpetrators red-handed…or I guess, lotion-handed or whatever they were into at the time. All while earning a measly worker's salary and even offering to investigate when he wasn't "on the clock" as they say. Going above and beyond the call of duty. I say good show, sir. I'm sorry that your fellow (jealous) officers don't feel the same way. Oh well, I'm sure they'd hire you on at the brothel as a bouncer or something. Maybe it's a change for the better.

She's a Fox - According to FHM Magazine's annual 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll, star of "Transformers" Megan Fox is the world's sexiest woman. Honestly, I really can't argue with that. She's…absolutely gorgeous…and has those sexy eyes, bangin' smile, rockin' tatas, and…yeah, I'll go with that. I mean…nine million votes can't be wrong, right? Rounding out the top ten on the list were Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Elisha Cuthbert, Scarlett Johannsen, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Hilary Duff (WHAT???), Tricia Helfer, Blake Lively, and Kate Beckinsale. Friends of the blog made the list as well, like Angelina at #12, Adriana Lima was #36, Amanda Beard at #71, and my buddies Lindsay Lohan made the list at #16 & Li'l Shaky at #55, but in the biggest publicist move of all time - Britney Spears at Number 100. Oh...and Milla Jovovich didn't make the list...instead Meg from Family Guy did (Mila Kunis). That's almost as bad as Hilary Duff getting Number 7. Oh well, it's not my list…but yeah, can't argue with Megan Fox on top though…in any situation. She kind of reminds me of somebody…hmm…

"This is a nice V6 engine you've got here."
"You should see my straight 8."

"Do you HAVE to go to work today?"
"F**k that, I just quit."

It's a good thing that she has an extensive library...

Because as mentioned before, I understand "King Lear"

Anyway, that'll do it for me for today…my Birthday Eve. I'm doing some laundry now…but I'm going to hang with my dad & stepmom for the day, have some dinner, then my mom & the rest of the family are coming down tomorrow…so if you don't hear from me, don't worry. I'll just be having fun…and celebrating the 27th anniversary of my birth. Oh yeah, this just in, guess how I'm going to celebrate my birthday. I'm going to Chuck E. Cheese with my nieces and nephew and my family. If any of you want to come along & are going to be in Sandy tomorrow night, let me know. We can get you some tokens or something. Wow, I'm officially three cubed years old now. Awesome. Have a great weekend everybody!!! Call me if you wanna hang out Saturday night!!! I'm sure that the old people and kids will be going home before dark.

My 4/20 Post

Good Morning Ladies & Gentlemen,

Well, as most of you may know, today is April 20th...and for some reason, a lot of my friends think it's a big deal. Not exactly sure why...but they were a lot of shirts with these green ferns on them and listen to Bob Marley all day...so it's kinda cool. Then I was also informed that it's the birthday of a great military leader and a man ahead of his time. True, history has given him a less than positive appearance...but you can't deny his impact on the human race. Of course...I'm talking about Mr. Sulu (George Takei). Also, that assburger Hitler apparently seeped out of his mother's glory hole on this day...but who cares? Carmen Electra, Joey Lawrence (Wo!!!), Don Mattingly, Jessica Lange, Luther Vandross, and Joan Miro also celebrate birthdays today.

Also, yesterday was my buddy Russ' birthday and we celebrated by...well, trying to surprise him at Piper Down. We all showed up early to surprise him...and apparently, as he was walking through the parking lot, he recognized a LOT of the cars...but he was still surprised to see how many friends he had. It was a great night. Captain Monty, Brooklyn, Erica & Ruben, Nikki came in from Denver, and I even saw my buddy Quinn for the first time in about three years. I don't think she'd ever seen me without glasses...but apparently I'm still recognizable (height). Everybody had a great time...and as usually, I was one of the first in and last out (my own designated driver and people kept buying me shots for some reason). You know me, I'm not going to drive drunk...so I had to wait a long time...and drink a lot of water. By the way, they have TVs in the urinals...which is really convenient if you're semi-interested in the Spurs or Jazz score...yet you're having too much fun with your friends. Anyway, happy birthday again Russ!!!

Note to Self - A judge sentenced defense attorney Adam Reposa to 90 days in jail on Tuesday for making a lewd gesture and simulating masturbation while standing before a County Court-at-Law judge in March. At a contempt hearing Monday, Judge Jan Breland said Reposa, 33, rolled his eyes and looked at her while motioning with his right hand. Reposa said the gesture came from near his hip and was aimed at a prosecutor while discussing plea negotiations in a drunken driving case. Reposa's attorney asked for a sentence of one day in jail. Visiting State Judge Paul Davis, however, said it was his "honor to uphold the integrity of the judicial process" and sentenced Reposa to 90 days. The attorney was led from the courtroom in handcuffs. Today's lesson - Don't simulate masturbation in a judicial setting. Honestly, it probably would be less of a sentence to actually masturbate…then to simulate it. Ninety days may seem a little harsh…but you have to look at the situation. It was in Texas, before a female judge, and the appeal was handled by a gentleman judge defending her honor, and the guy apparently used offensive language in court on a regular basis…so there's a little context in there. Still, just don't do it. Wait until you're in the privacy of your own home…or do some other gesture that would simply confuse the judge.

For STARING??? - An Italian man was given a suspended jail sentence for staring too intensely at a woman sitting in front of him on a train. A judge sentenced the man in his 30s, whose name was not revealed, to 10 days in prison and a 40 Euro ($63) fine after a 55-year old woman filed a complaint for sexual harassment. The two met on two separate occasions in 2005 on a commuter train going from Lecco, a town in northern Italy, to Milan. The first time, the man sat next to the woman but she felt he had moved too close for comfort. The next day, the man sat in front of the same woman and according to her complaint, stared at her for the whole journey. The two did not even speak to each other…and the sentence is being appealed. Wow!!! Is this what it has come to? Ten days for allegedly staring at a woman? Maybe he was just sitting there thinking about something and zoned out…because he was on a train. It happens. All the time. Who is this 55-year old woman? Sophia Loren? She doesn't seem to mind. I'm sure she's gorgeous and all (being Italian) but you can just say something like "Scusi, would you mind not staring at me? You're making me uncomfortable." "Oh scusi principessa. I have a lot on my mind." Situation over. Nope, we're taking it to court. I thought it was just America where frivolous cases were opened.

Psychics Didn't See It Coming - Fortune-tellers, mediums and spiritual healers marched on the home of the British prime minister Gordon Brown on Friday to protest against new laws they fear will lead to them being "persecuted and prosecuted." Organizers say that replacing the Fraudulent Mediums Act of 1951 with new consumer protection rules will remove key legal protection for "genuine" mediums. They think skeptics might bring malicious prosecutions to force spiritualists to prove in court that they can heal people, see into the future or talk to the dead. Psychics also fear they will have to give disclaimers describing their services as entertainment or as scientific experiments with unpredictable results. "If I'm giving a healing to someone, I don't want to have to stand there and say I don't believe in what I'm doing," said Carole McEntee-Taylor, a healer who co-founded the Spiritual Workers Association. The British Humanist Association, a charity which campaigns against religion and supernatural beliefs, said stricter regulations were overdue because the current laws don't work. Chief Executive Hanne Stinson said, "It is misleading for spiritualists to claim that, as religious' practitioners they should not be regulated under consumer laws. The psychic industry is huge and lucrative and it exploits some very vulnerable, and some very gullible, people with claims for which there is no scientific evidence."

So who's right in this argument? Sad to say it…but in my opinion, the government. Why? Even if I don't think that most psychics are hustlers, I recognize that they provide a service. They provide a different way for their customers to view the world, offer some treatments to help them with their ailments (whether mental, physical, or spiritual), and a gamut of other things…but so does a hospital…or a brothel for that matter…and regulations are there to make sure that nobody gets hosed. Yes, I expect many frivolous lawsuits brought against them because…well, it's really hard to prove spirituality and the cosmos and other dimensions and all that stuff in court. However, there's a simple phrase that provides an ample solution - "For Entertainment Purposes Only" and it's up there in my book, like allegedly. As far as being a religious practitioner and not being under consumer laws, that's not going to work either…because all churches are regulated unless their in a backwoods area of Kentucky charming snakes or something…and even then, once they're found out, the government steps in. Oh…and they're selling crafts & cookies & crucifixes and stuff like that…not one-on-one conversations with the late great JC. I'm down with psychics for the most part…because I understand that they provide a much needed service to help many people find closure and gain hope for the future…but I also know that a lot of people are swindled by con men (and women) posing as psychics. I don't like to see people getting taken advantage of. With a few of my friends & family members being really into this stuff, I'm a little skeptical…part of being protective, I guess…but as long as it makes them happy, I'm happy. You'll never hear me claim to know everything about everything…so I'm respectful of other people's beliefs…but just respect my belief that Karma comes back around. Just remember, for entertainment purposes only.

GO JOE!!! - There's a bunch of character photos out now for the upcoming "G.I. Joe" movie coming next year. These shots include Rachel Nichols as Scarlett, Channing Tatum as Duke, Karolina Korkova as Cover Girl, Marlon Wayans as Ripcord, Byung-hun Lee as Storm Shadow, Sienna Miller as The Baroness, Ray Park as Snake Eyes, and Dennis Quaid as Hawk. I like the form-fitting black on redhead look…and I almost didn't even see the Czech Victoria's Secret supermodel playing Cover Girl. Damn camouflage!!! Anyway, here are some pictures to satisfy your inner geek...
Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlett Leather

Duke...with Step Up grip

You put Karolina Kurkova in this role...

then dress her in camouflage?

What's next? Jessica Alba as the Invisible Woman?

"Aaaah sh*t, son!" It's Ripcord.

Unless there's a fight in the Great White North,

he'd better be a damn sneaky ninja.

Baroness is hot!!!

Ninjas with AK-47's

Gotta watch this movie

Hawk gives his mean look

Anyway, that'll do it for today. Hope you're all having a great weekend with a minimum of hangovers. I'm gonna go see my nieces & nephew...and get a physical tomorrow. Yay me!!! Have a great day!!!

GET TO THE CHOPPAH!!!

Good Morning Ladies & Gentlemen,

Yesterday was a lot of fun. I stopped by work to pick up my paycheck…and they were having a Yearbook Day, you know, from last day of high school. They made up these little picture books from the last few years and had people signing them and li'l sandwiches and stuff. It was…awkward, to say the least…but they gave us sandwiches so I stuck around for a few minutes and talked to the ladies. You know I can't say no to that. I even signed a few yearbooks - "Stay cool! See ya after summer…or at the bar. $teve" because I'm too cool for school. Anyway, after that, I headed to my dad's to hang out for the day.

We talked about Vegas and how much fun it's going to be…and he's really progressing with his leg. He'll probably be completely mobile again in the next few weeks, just in time for a Vegas adventure for just the two of us. It's the first time that just him & I have been on vacation together. Can't wait. After that, we watched "Alien vs. Predator: Requiem" because he hadn't seen it…and I could watch it again. Since I've already told you about the movie before, here's an example of the dialogue that goes on between us during "Drama parts" of the movie.

$teve: Why do they always turn around slowly…and then stand there stunned for a few seconds so that the alien can kill them? I understand that it's unusual…but that's more reason to instantly spring into jumping back or rolling away and firing the machine gun under your arm.
Dad: No kidding. You gotta keep your head on a swivel in that situation. Especially when they sneak up on ya. Want some Snickers, dude?
$teve: No thanks.
Dad: Butterfingers?
$teve: Nope, I'm good.
Dad: Pretzels? Cheetos?
$teve: We just had pizza. I'm good for a minute.
Dad: Scooby Snacks?
$teve: (Pause) Maybe a few.

After that, I helped him with stuff around the house like replacing power outlets downstairs and moving some end tables, then headed to the store to pick up prescription and grab heavier grocery items that he couldn't really get solo. Then we watched a movie that neither of us had seen in a while, "Broken Arrow" with John Travolta & Christian Slater. For those who haven't seen it, it's about two air force captains who are out flying a Stealth bomber on a training mission, then the elder (Travolta) sets out with a plan to steal the two nuclear warheads on the plane, so stages a crash in the picturesque Utah wastelands…and knows all the protocols to buy him some time to make off with the weapons and get a lot of money. The only people that can stop him are the other pilot (Slater) and the world's sexiest park ranger (Samantha Mathis). It's pretty cool…and Travolta as a bad guy is always fun to watch. I would highly recommend it to anybody who likes action films…but in that case, you've probably already seen it.

Around 8 PM, I went back home to meet up with JL Clyde to nerd out by watching another five or six episodes of "Battlestar Galactica" season three. Apparently, I'm entertaining to watch this show with…because I make wiseass remarks during all the dramatic parts to keep myself interested…and I make jokes about Admiral Adama's (Edward James Olmos) mother being an orange…and there are sexy robots…and I can control them through the power of Delusion. She also loaned me her "Planet of the Apes" movie collection...which will be awesome...because I love those shows...and there's even a few that I don't recall seeing before. Awesome!!! Thanks Miss Clyde!!!

This morning has been a little hectic at work…because it's our first day of a lot of new stuff…and there's an adjustment period with all the various programs and staffing and procedures. Really glad that I was the first one to experience it though. At least I have some experience over the trainees and knew who to call and stuff like that…and the other workers won't give me a hard time about it…because I'll tell them to suckiteasy. Okay, maybe not that bad…but they respect me for some reason. Probably the towering height and surprising quickness and agility. Anyway, that's been me the past 24 hours or so. Not a whole lot going on, but I'm having fun. Who knows what I'm going to be doing tonight? Tomorrow, I may go see mom or my brother's family…since I have to be in the area Monday for my physical. That should be fun. Oh…and happy birthday to my buddy Russ!!! I don't think he reads the blog or anything…but still, happy birthday playa. Have a great weekend everybody!!!

Where should I go next?
