Good Evening Ladies & Gentlemen,
I was just up doing nothing...and not really tired, so I thought that I'd drop another questionairre of knowledge in case you cared. See, this is what I do when I'm bored late at night and have to be quiet to not wake the neighbors. They're good people, but they just get up too damn early. Anyway, here it goes. I'll have a better blog tomorrow (later today technically), scout's honor.
25 of the MOST Spontaneous Questions Ever, BE HONEST
1. Where will you be in a hour?
Probably asleep...the drink'll help
2. Who will be your next kiss?
Good question. Maybe Box Girl. Maybe some other lucky girl out there...
3. Is there something purple within 10 feet of you?
Mardi gras beads. I have a wide variety of colors and shapes for volunteers.
4. Are you wearing socks right now?
Yup. Odd that you would care to ask...
5. When was the last time you went out of state?
About three weeks ago...to New Orleans
6. Have you been to the movies in the last 7 days?
Only at my house in the Coolesium. Oh yeah, I'm still calling it that.
7. What was the last thing you had to drink?
Mike's Hard Cranberry Lemonade - two of them
8. What are you wearing right now?
Clothes. Unflashy ones.
9. What was your last purchase?
A bottle of anti-freeze for my cars. It's that time of year again.
10. What's the last thing you wrote down?
With pen & paper? I mainly just doodle with pen & paper. It was probably something work related...therefore too boring to respond with.
11. Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?
Bubbles has been texting me. She wants to borrow my new Kanye West album. My dad called me a few hours ago to say howdy. He's a cool cat. Maybe that's where I get it from...
12. Have you been to the silly site GoofyAuctions.com?
Yeah, it's okay.
13. Have you ever owned a fish tank?
No but I've moved a LOT of them.
14. When's the last time you watched a hockey game?
First NHL game was about four years ago at the Pepsi Center at the Colorado Avalanche's 400th consecutive sellout. Third row tickets. The only way to watch a hockey game.
15. What is in your pocket right now?
My bitches (See what I did there? I said it like a pimp. I'm so cool.) Really though, mostly lint and some change.
16. If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you be?
Brazil would be awesome...but if anywhere...I'd be the first dude on Mars. Yeah...
17. What friend has the kinkiest piercing(s)?
I really don't know...and don't want to know unless she's really really hot
18. One thing you hate about yourself?
I'm too self-conscious around the ladies. Sure, I may seem like a cocky guy...maybe even a prick...but deep down, I'm just too damn nice for my own good.
19. What's your favorite soup?
Thick meaty chili. If I wanted flavored water, then I'd ask for soup.
20. Do you miss anyone?
All the time
21. Last play you saw?
"Aida" on Broadway about four years ago. Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child played Aida. It was set in Egypt. That's about all I remember.
22. What are your plans for the day?
Wake up, shower, have fun, maybe finish watching season one of Battlestar Galactica. More on that tomorrow...
23. Ever go to camp?
Camp Kiesel (boys scouts) waaaaaay back in the day
24. What do you want right now?
The same thing I always want...Adriana Lima or English-speaking equivalent
25. Were you an honor roll student in Jr. High/Middle school?
Absolutely...that's probably why I'm so lame now.
Anyway, I'm done now. I basically did this questionairre because it was one of the first sent to me through MySpace that actually had all consecutive numbers in the questions. Have a great night...and I'll see ya around. Peace.

Don't Go Into 1408!!!
Good Morning Ladies & Gentlemen,
Probably just gonna give you a quickie this morning. Only because I really don't have a lot to talk about or a lot of time to talk about it. I did watch "1408" with John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson last night. It was okay. Having worked in the hotel industry before and visited a lot of places, you can kind of throw yourself into the story...a little bit. Honestly though, I probably would have headed Samuel L. Jackson's warning. He was genuinely creepy in the delivery. Basically, Joan Cusack's character writes "Top 10 Haunted..." books and gets a postcard for this hotel saying, "Don't Go Into 1408." So what does he do? He DEMANDS to go into it...because he's a cocky cynic. I can understand that. Anyway, he's forced to go against not only his own fears...but the powers of HELL!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! It's an adaptation of a Stephen King story. I've heard that he using a lot of sleeping aides and other hallucigens to get his trippy dreams and basically writes them down. That may be an urban legend or something, but I'm sure that it works. Were I a writer (bloggers a different...and much sexier) then I might give it a shot. I've already written down my dreams...and they don't make sense to me...or anybody else apparently. Anyway, it's worth a rental for a scary movie night.
Marion Jones - The five-time medal winning Olympian admitted that she doped before the 2000 Sydney games. She faces jail time and will obviously be stripped of her medals (no word if silver gets to keep them or they'll just use them in Beijing next year). Maybe she just waited until her Nike contracts and everything expired from those games to admit it...but at least she's willing to finally admit it. I really don't like steroid users. Is it because they're bigger than me? No. Is it because they're better athletes than me? No. Is it because they're better basketball players than me? Not possible. It's because they break the rules. I'm not talking about paying attention to the other team calling the plays like the Patriots. This is more like putting a steel plate in your forearm pad to smack a lineman across the head a few dozen times a game. She should be stripped (of her medals too). She should serve some jail time (though I hate to send another African-American woman to prison for using substances).Who's the person that really loses out in this though? The little girl who looked up to her and admired her nearly a decade ago...and has now grown up inspired by her and tried her hardest no matter what the odds...and then now hearing that she cheated. That's how she won. That's who loses out. When our heroes are exposed for the frail and fragile human beings that they are, that can be a trying situation. Marion Jones made a HUGE mistake. Can she ever repay that to her fans and admirers? Maybe...but it'll take a while. Kids, stay in school. Don't do drugs (whether recreational or performance enhancing...except maybe Viagra...but that's not for the kids I'm talking to). Just be the best person that you can be everyday, live for others, tell others how much you love them, and you can't go wrong. Marion, I forgive you. Thank you for letting your conscious win instead of pride. Now, any other athlete out there that has something to say...I listening.
Another Doper - Travis Henry has tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs as well. This one really baffles me though because he's got probably the sweetest non-kicker job in the NFL, running back for the Denver Broncos. What does that mean? Well, besides the fact that I could probably run for a thousand yards a year behind that Denver offensive line, not much. I hate to say it, but the Broncos are a pretty good team...and they have made stars out of people like Olandis Gary, Reuben Droughns, and Mike Anderson at running back. If you're response to that last sentence is "Who?" then you've proven my point. I knew Mike Anderson before because he went to the University of Utah...but they all ran for over a thousand yards, got a big contract elsewhere...and well, you haven't heard from them since. Travis Henry got a thousand yards the past few years with the Buffalo Bills. Yes, they still have a team. So this year, he signed with Denver...and is leading the league in rushing...but now will be suspended. Great job Mr. Henry. Don't worry, there's plenty of other guys waiting to take your sweet gig. Enjoy the rest of your career as a backup running back in Arizona.
Anyway, sorry for the negative blog today...but that's what I'm hearing about. How about this fun little bit of advocacy. The San Diego Zoo wants help naming their new panda cub in the next few months. As previously stated on my blog when the cub was born, I would like to name the panda Ling Ling. Not just in honor of the great battlecard warrior from "Drawn Together" but in Chinese, with the proper tones, it means "Towering Mountain." Now that's a bad ass name with a bad ass meaning. So what I think that we should do is advocate for the zoo to name it Ling Ling. Then, we can know that we made a difference. However, the thing is that the zoo is only taking suggestions from people going to the zoo, starting today...over the next ten days. Lame. However, if you know anybody in the San Diego area, give them a call and have them stop by for you. I still think that we can do this. So please, join me in petitioning the San Diego Zoo to name the panda Ling Ling. Or you can go to this link for more information. We can make a difference. Have a groovy day!!!

Dating Game
Good Evening Ladies & Gentlemen,
Well, the concert at Club Manhattan was cancelled last night...but I didn't really feel like going anyway, so be careful what you wish for, kids. I'm just kidding. It would have been a great show. So instead of watching a hip-hop show at a bar that I've been told is horrible, I went home and watched a movie. (Gasp of surprise) What movie you ask? How about "Bug" starring Ashley Judd, Michael Shannon, and Harry Connick jr, from the director of "The Exorcist" William Friedkin. Oh yeah!!! It was going to be a horror show night. The show starts with a helicopter shot leading you right into a motel parking lot, where Ashley Judd's having a smoke and getting phone calls from a stranger. Oh yeah!!! This is going to be good. Motel, Ashley Judd, smoking, late night booty calls, hot terror is about to ensue. Enter the lesbian friends, nice. Abusive ex-husband (Connick) getting out of jail, okay. Is that crack they're smoking? You bet it is. Boxes of wine and vodka? Lines of coke? Oooh, excessive drug use. This is going to be good. Mysterious quiet stranger spends the night (on the floor), stares down ex-husband the next morning, repaid by bow chicka bow wow (not as hot as you would think), aaaaah yeah. What's the ex going to think? What's he going to do? Whatever happened to those lesbians? The anticipation is killing me...because it has taken over an hour to set up what I've summarized in a paragraph.
What happens, you ask? Do you really want to know? What if I told you that you didn't? Would that just entice you more? Am I using reverse psychology on you to get you to see this movie? All these questions are probably running through your head right now, right? No? Okay then I'm going to save you two drawn-out hours of your life and tell you that this is NOT a horror movie. William Friedkin and the marketing department at the studio had me fooled. Even though I did a GREAT job of setting it up as your standard horror movie, it turns into a movie about paranoid schizophrenia. Though Ashley Judd & Michael Shannon do a great job of acting and fooling me into thinking something horrific is going to happen, it's not what I was expecting. Partly my fault, of course. If you like to see great actors go schizo, this is probably a movie that you'd like, but I've seen enough of this in real life (drugs leading to schizophrenia...and I'm not going to ruin the ending for you, but you watch the news). I still give it three stars because it was well done...but yeah, not a horror movie.
To get the final image of the movie out of my head, I decided to watch another movie immediately after. It had to be one that I knew I would like, so "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" it was. Jessica Alba in spandex...and you know that even though it's PG, she has to be implied naked. I really liked the first movie. This movie was even better, though they obviously overdramatized and added unnecessary conflicts and all that usual stuff. I'm still not sure if the person playing Silver Surfer was really there or CGI...but Morpheus, er Laurence Fishburne had a great voice for him. Only one question though, how could you trust somebody named Doctor Doom? Seriously. You deserve to be in trouble. "So, you're the guy taking my daughter to prom? What did you say your name was again?" "Ricky. Ricky Daterape." "Okay...well, I'm going to give you until the count of five (reaches for the 9mm at his side) to get the hell outta my house..." Come on, it's only common sense. What's in a name? Everything. Anyway, movie was pretty good for a superhero flick...and Jessica Alba is really really talented, a very well-rounded actress.
Justin Timberlake - Okay, I have Justin's high-pitched voice stuck in my head. I listened to the new 50 cent album on the way here...and the last track was "Ayo Technology" with him, 50, & Timbaland (voiced as a Transformer as usual). It's not any of the three's best song ever made by any means...but it's stuck there. So, I'm not sure if I'm a Justin fan. Sure, he was in a boy band...but so was Marky Mark and Nick Lachey...and I think they're all right. I even think Marky Mark is a great actor in the right pretense. I've seen Justin in a few movies like "Alpha Dog", "Edison Foce", and "Black Snake Moan" and he was pretty good. His music is really hit or miss for me though. I love some...and can't stand others. I liked a few tracks on the "Justified" album like "Like I Love You" and "Rock Your Body" and collaboration with Snoop Dogg and other hip-hop artists tend to sound pretty good to me...but "Cry Me A River", "Bringing Sexy Back", and other really big hits for him, have no effect on me except when I'm watching girls shake their hindquarters to it. Do I dislike Justin? Not at all. He got with Britney and Cameron Diaz back when they were hot. He's a great dancer (like Michael Jackson without the Jesus Juice) and seems like a nice guy. I don't know. Why am I even thinking about this? I'm probably just looking for distraction from work again. It happens a lot. Anyway, feel free to tell me what you think about him. Ladies, I'm sure it involves how hot and talented he is (like Jessica Alba). Guys, I'm sure it's that he looks like a gay or something. No biggie. We're all entitled to our opinion, it's just I can't seem to decide on mine. Alright, this topic is over...for now.
NBA Live 2008 - I finally got to play a little this morning. The game is okay. It's not the greatest. Graphically, it's really life-like and has smooth movement for the most part. The controls are what bother me. In past versions, if you hit the pass button, you pass immediately. This time it has a second delay or something...and I may have just not mastered all the controls...but a lot of the shots look really awkward and horrible...and take a long time to execute, especially in the post. Maybe I just need a few more games under my belt. Madden 2008 is kind of the same way...and it bugs me a bit...but I guess it's supposed to be more realistic or something with the football snap then popping a jump shot. That's instantaneous. The soundtrack is pretty good though. There's even a hip-hop version of Britney Spears' classic "Toxic" that I laughed at for a while...but yeah, it was pretty good. It sounded like Ol' Dirty Bastard singing in the background at times...but the R&B guy singing the lyrics did okay. Sorry, no names. I didn't check on the artists.
Speaking of ODB, the Wu Tang Clan is apparently covering the Beatles track "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with George Harrison's son, Dhani playing guitar. Some people are outraged at this...and I can understand it. However, I'm all for it. The RZA, the GZA, M-E-T-H-O-D Man, and the rest of them are fellow Kung Fu addicts and know how to make great music. If they have the blessings of the original artists (with monetary lubrication, I'm sure) then I say let them do as they wish. WU TANG FOREVER!!! I know that as soon as I go home, I'm going to check out the track on their MySpace page. Here's their official website too, if you'd like.
Dating - Okay, so I'm thinking about trying to date again...and not just get 'hooked up' by friends or ask out coworkers...but I'm not exactly the most forward person out there. It has been suggested to me that Coffee Shops are the way to go by several friends, but I'm not a coffee drinker (I do like the caramel apple ciders though during the winter time) and I have a bit of intelligence...but I'm not a literary nerd by any means. Basically, I see it going down like this. I sip my cider with sizzurp while reading a book (probably not "Fart Proudly") or maybe typing away...because I'm an ever-so-great writer...and I've always got a new project that I'm doing (cough cough bulls**t) but at least I could blog about how horrible I am at scoping out the coffee shop talent. I love people watching...especially girls. Dean Martin had it right with the comment "Brother, you can't find a nicer occupation...than standing on the corner watching all the girls, watching all the girls, watching all the girls...go by." So at least that'll be entertaining on a slow winter day. I'm gonna give that a shot. However, I'm open to other suggestions as well. Feel free to lend your advice.
I'd like to try Speed Dating...but not alone. None of my friends are willing to go with me though...and there inlies the problem. I'm a pretty charming guy...if you can get past the grotesque facial features...but I'm also very timid to make the first move...and I can never seem to get the words to come out right (see Box Girl story). Speed Dating at least takes out the pick-up lines (which I also suck at) and I can usually tell by the "Tell me about yourself" speech whether or not a girl is immediately crazy...and vice versa. Having never tried it first-hand though, it's kind of like saying "Skydiving is perfectly harmless and seems like a lot of fun" then by the time you touch the ground you're balling your eyes out and screaming that you wanna go home. Anyway, if it happens, you'll all bear witness to the results.

Happy Birthday Spitsofrantic!!!
Good Afternoon Ladies & Gentlemen,
Today is the 24th birthday of my good friend Andy a.k.a. Spitsofrantic!!! In celebration of this event, he's going to be doing a concert at Club Manhattan, here in Slick City. I'll be attending. Let me know if you're interested (pending of course, that you're in town). It's only be a few bucks and I'll gladly be a designated driver. Not sure if you're going to like the music? Check out the link to his MySpace page. He's a good cat. Support your local hip-hop artists...and your troops.
The other night, I was googling my real name...and nothing really came up. So in the eyes of the worldwide web, I don't exist...and I'm very cool with that. The less people who know who I am, the less people who have names that I have to remember. "Hey $teve, how's it going? I haven't seen you in forever." "Hey.........you. You look...different? How are things going...where you live?" However, I have also googled Dr. Mookie Love and the Ecclectic Eccentric...and here are a few things that came up. I've linked them, so that you don't have to google it yourself. See what a nice guy I am?
Mookie Love da Hip-Hop Prophet - There were several links to this hip-hop artist. His latest album "Egyptian Eclipse" is now available in stores (His trunk? Didn't show up on Amazon or Best Buy) and you can learn the six chapters of Raptism. He also has samples from his first album "Lryikal Narkotix" of his hit songs "Feel Maaay!", "Sharlet's Web", and "Curb Side Service." I'm personally intrigued by his collaboration with A.D. entitled "Sticky Sweet" but I guess I'll have to buy the album to get a listen. The possibilities are endless. He's also mentioned on a few MySpace accounts. Those always seem to come up on a google search for any word combination.
Chocomookielove Blog - This is a Livejournal blog account...and a secondary journal to their main. Titled "The Apparent Purplish-Black Chocobo's Ramblings" - Mookie Love's Journal. However, there's only one entry in it...and it basically says that they give up and went back to the first journal. Understandable. If you're interested in searching more into it, here's the link. I really wasn't. No offense.
Also, there was a lot of references to the movie "Do the Right Thing" where Spike Lee's character is named Mookie. I still need to watch this movie all the way through. It should be coming through Blockbuster Full Access soon. Allegedly, it's a classic.
TIME - Eclectic Eccentric - There was an article in TIME Magazine titled "Eclectic Eccentric" about King Ludwig II of Bavaria, who is my inspiration for what I want to be when I grow up. For those of you who are not aware of the mad King Ludwig II, he's the guy who financed such magnificent structures as Neuschwanstein (the Cinderella castle), the palaces of Linderhof, and they house many of the great sculpture & art of the 19th century. Eight years ago, I had the opportunity to see some of these magnificent places...and let me tell you, I want to go back very soon. I'd share a few of my favorite pictures with you from that trip...but I don't have that handy...so check out the link and a few of these pictures. That'll wet your appetite.

Sports News - Everybody may care about baseball playoffs starting today and all that jibber jabber (Go Phillies!!!) but my thoughts are where they always are...with the 4-time NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs. They announced the other day that they're going to retire the jersey number 6 of former Spurs point guard and current Dallas Mavericks head coach Avery Johnson. To me, Mr. Johnson is an inspirational story. He played college ball at Southern University (brownie points if you know where it's located) and was undrafted by the NBA, mostly because he's under six-foot (which is really small by NBA standards). He played a year in the USBL, then signed with the Seattle Sonics in 1988. Since then, he played seven franchises, most noticeably with the Spurs where he won two championships. His passion for the game and desire to win motivated his team during his playing days and has carried on into his coaching career with the Dallas Mavericks, who had the best record in the NBA last year (his 2nd year of coaching). Fighting against the odds, taking on the big guys despite your mediocre size, it doesn't matter as long as you have a bigger heart. This guy deserves to be recognized by having his number retired...and I think he's a future Hall of Famer. There's my predication for the day. He's a great guy...and still has one of the funniest voices in league history...but a great smile and knows his stuff. Congratulations, Mr. Johnson!!!
Anyway, that's probably good for today. Hope you enjoyed it. Peace out.
P.S. According to my friend Bubbles, her boyfriend almost did the exact same thing last night...but luckily, she was able to warn him about which one the ground terminal was. I don't feel quite as dumb...but still a little. I'll get over it eventually...probably at the birthday party tonight!!!

Why I'm Not a Mechanic, Part 2
Good Evening Ladies & Gentlemen,
My friend Bubbles asked me to jump her in the parking lot tonight...so naturely my first thought was "Okay but what will your boyfriend think?" I obviously didn't ask this out loud...because then that might kill the mood. As we walked out to the parking lot, she said, "Aren't you going to get your car?" "We only need one...and I think my shocks are blown anyway...so there's a little more motion." "What? Don't you need jumper cables?" Ding ding ding. "OOOOH!!! Yeah, jumper cables. Right. I'll be right back." For the record, I really did know what she meant (sadly) but I just thought that I'd get a cheap laugh out you before I really did something stupid.
I pull the car alongside and attach the cables to my battery...then I notice that her engine compartment and battery isn't illuminated and I can't really tell which end is the ground. The wires were fairly dirty, the terminals were corroded, and it was again dark, but had I been thinking clearly, and not in a rush (supposed to be working & only person at that hour), I might have done the car mechanic equivalent of adding two to two...and looked for the ground wire connected to one of the terminals...but I went on the basis of "This wire looks lighter, so it's probably the red one. Der der deeer." I attached them (and yes, the spark might have been a hint too...but that has happened before with corroded ends. Anyway, after a few seconds, she turns the key and nothing happens. Not good, right?
Then I notice a little smoke out of the corner of my eye on a distant parking lot light. "Snaps!!!" This means that I put them on backwards and it's possibly shorting out the batteries...and causing the jumper cables to heat up at a rapid rate. I have seen what this can do before (back when I was a REAL novice with cars and not my fault but the friend showing me) and the cables can catch fire, so I quickly reach down using the fleshy part of my fingers and quickly remove the cables from the batteries. Oh yes, they'll probably blister a bit come morning...but the lesson was learned...and that's what's really important. Okay, the fiery truck picture is a bit dramatic...but still. It's really the worst when you can't blame anybody except your own dumb ass. Also, Bubbles got home safe. For those of you who don't know the proper way to jump start a car (apparently, I need a refresher course), here's a good link for a step-by-step...because Dr. Love is all about spreading the knowledge...and telling the stories that show what can happen without the proper knowledge. It's also a good idea to know how to change a tire, change your oil, and other standard car maintenance procedures to add years to the life of your car.
Anyway, just wanted to put the word out there of my stupidity...so that you can avoid future embarassment. Join us next time when I talk about other idiotic adventures, mishaps, random ramblings, and probably through in a movie list or something.
Also, while I have you here...check out my ClustrMap. I seem to be getting about 40 hits a day on average...and that's awesome to me. Allegedly, I have a strong fanbase in Utah and repeats in places like LA (Lala), Texas (Jlee), Seattle, Denver (Shayboarder), Miami, Chile, Philly (Bone Junior), South Carolina, Chitown (probably not Kanye), and I've had a few hits in Portugal, Poland, & Iraq. Big ups to the armed forces overseas!!! We love y'all madly!!! Come home safe!!! Have a great night everybody!!!

Lesson in Bathroom Etiquette
Good Afternoon Ladies & Gentlemen,
First off, I wanted to share a little experience of mine that happened last night. I was in the men's bathroom at work. On past visits, I had noticed that the sink's countertops are often wet...sometimes VERY wet. I thought to myself that this may be just to occasional dripping off recently washed hands...and over time it gathers into these large puddles until I show up and try to clean them up a bit. You know, incidental precipitation or something.
However, last night I made use of the urinal then saw this guy (in full business casual attire) splashing water up at his face...and it kind of looked like a clumsy monkey slapping at a small waterfall because he saw his reflection in it or something. He's splashing the water all over the countertop, floors, mirrors, and even a little on his face. I found myself standing back (to avoid the water being flung) and watching this laughing to myself at the sight. Then he got a paper towel and starting drying his hands so I approached the sinks, water still dripping onto the floor. As he walked away from the sink I said, "Hey! (Pointed to the water) What the hell? Aren't you gonna clean this up a bit, man?" He responded in a very metrosexual voice, "Whatever. It's not my job." and walked away. If I didn't think (based on his voice) that my beating his ass would have been construed into a hate crime AND I would have lost my job, then I would have gone with my initial instinct...of beating his ass. Instead, being the courteous coworker that I am, I cleaned it up a little bit, asking a few people if they knew who that dick was...and nobody knew (or cared). Anyway, was I wrong for not beating his ass? I didn't think so. Was I wrong for cleaning up? Maybe. If I see this guy in the restroom again though, there may be some incidental urination...you know, to mark the turf. Show dominance.Seriously though, that's just messed up to me. Make a damn mess...and then walk away with a snide, cocky attitude. That's the thing about being cocky though, don't whip it out if you're not willing to measure it. I ain't scurred. Just pick up after yourself, that's all I ask. I'm not a germophobe or anything...but I'm also not your mother (just the guy banging her).
The Rock gives to the U - As if the University of Miami football program needed any more money, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and his wife Dani donated one million dollars to his alma mater for a new locker room. Both are former student-atheletes (football and rowing) and it's the largest such donation from a student-athlete in the school's history. Not bad...but I think the money could have gone to a better charity than a university that has five or six first round NFL draft picks every year and collects massive bank from television and radio networks. Still, the gesture is nice...and I can understand donating back to your alma mater...if they really needed it. Don't worry SLCC, I won't forget you. Some day...some day...oh, and the Rock's new movie "The Gameplan" was #1 at the box offices this week. Good for him. Nice guy...
Meant to Be - The stars of the two most famous sex tapes of all time...are getting married. Pamela Anderson (who costarred with Tommy Lee) and Rick Saloman (costarred with Paris Hilton) were granted a marriage license in Las Vegas this week. I don't care what you say. I think this could work out. Both have plenty of experience in being married...so now, they can be happy with one another. Good luck guys...and congratulations!!!Last Minute Concert Announcement - Tomorrow night at Club Manhattan in Slick City, Soul Shakers Entertainment featuring Spitsofrantic will be performing. The following evening, you can catch them at the Avalon Theatre. For details, visit the links...or gimme a call. You probably have my number...or at least my email. Good times will be had by all.
The Office - I've been watching the third season of the Office this morning...and I sympathize with the Jim character. I often feel like him. Doing my job ably enough, doing stupid things to entertain myself along the way, lusting over coworkers (only my coworkers are in their mid-teens), everybody seems to like me for one reason or another, we even share a raggedy haircut...but is this really the job that I want until I retire (many many years from now)? It's a great way to get money and do something on the side...but do I really want this to be my career? Time will tell. Oh, and the show is hilarious. Michael Scott is a horrible human being...but he's damn funny. That's really about it for tonight. Not much going on. I bought NBA Live 2008 but haven't really had a chance to check it out. Maybe tomorrow, I can give a full review. The Demo was cool though. Maybe I'll do something tonight after doing some more work and it slows down...but hopefully this got a giggle out of you.

Why do I still like the Eagles?
Good Afternoon Ladies & Gentlemen,
I hope that all of you prefered to spend time with your family or watching Family Guy instead of watching the Philadelphia Eagles lose miserably to the New York Giants last night. I have been an Eagles fan since I was 8 years old...back in the day of Randall Cunningham, Reggie White, Jerome Brown, Seth Joyner, Buddy Ryan, Eric Allen, Fred Barnett, Cris Carter, Keith Jackson & Byars, etc. They never really won anything...but I liked them for some reason. Then through high school, I kept liking them...through the Doug Pedersen & Rodney Peete years...when a record of 6-10 was an accomplishment...and when a 2-14 record got you a Donovan McNabb. Then they were good again and went to four straight NFC championships and lost a Super Bowl to the Patriots...and now they're back in the can. It's not really that they're doing so bad (12 sacks to the Giants?) but that the Cowboys are doing so good. At least it's not TO's fault for that. Yeah, I know they've had their injury issues...but that's football. Still, I think they can pull out a Wild Card berth (and lose in the first round or something unless their offensive line can at least slow down a charging linebacker). At least the Phillies are in the MLB playoffs, so that can distract from the Eagles...for now. Thank you Mets!!!
Done venting now. Yesterday, I took my mom & stepdad to the airport (I think they blew out my shocks with their bodies & their luggage) so they could go to Hawaii for a week. I'm a little jealous...but then I remember that I'm going to Europe next month...and I feel better. My dad was very ill, so my brother & his family didn't come to town, and so I didn't see them and just chilled at home. I basically just relaxed and watched football, Simpsons, Family Guy, more football, and then the car chase movie classic, "Dirty Mary Crazy Larry" starring Peter Fonda. This movie is about a pair of thieves who rob a grocery store and then make a Dukes of Hazzard type run for it...but pick up a blonde chick in a bikini top and short shorts along the way. There's a lot of driving, a lot of unnecessary drama, and a lot of 70's one-liners (that aren't actually that good) but a lot of driving and car crashing and stuff. It's a definite must-see for fans of the genre.
Awkward story of the weekend - So on Friday, I had lunch with my mom, grandma, stepdad, and the other lady I'm going to Europe with, Pat. Pat talked about her granddaughter getting into trouble at school and getting in fights with some of the other girls (7-on-1 is BS, but apparently she held her own). Anyway, she showed me a picture of her granddaughter...and she was cute for a teenager. I'm not gonna lie. She developed pretty well. However, then Pat mentions that she was in the 4th grade. "SHE'S NINE??? She reminds me of a girlfriend I had at nine-TEEN!!! That's why the girls don't like her. She's developed." My mom was caught off-guard too...but she was a little more composed. However, I found out on a fellow blog about why these girls are developing at an unforeseen rate. Check out this post. Thanks Stephie.
FREE SOUTH AFRIKA!!! - When Danny Glover yelled out these words...and added "you dumb son of a bitch" in Lethal Weapon 2 in 1989, apartheid had separated South Afrika, which was founded by Dutch puritans and french settlers (conservative Christians). During apartheid, besides the inhuman racial segregation and injustice, there was also a ban on pornography and risque material. Though a new constitution was implemented in 1994 officially ending apartheid, and pornography was allowed back into the country, it was not until this past week that they had hosted a sex fair. Now, they are truly free. Free at last, free at last. On that note, please donate to AIDS research...and practice safe sex. Sorry, I'm a doctor. I have to mention that stuff.
Two-headed Turtle - In Norristown, Pennsylvania, a pet store has a two-headed turtle on display. That's Big Al's Aquarium Supercenter conveniently located off the freeway and just minutes from downtown Norristown. Bring the whole family, see the two-headed turtles, try our new Chinese buffet, and while you're at it, take home a puppy...or two, with our buy-one-get-one-half off sale, going on until Sunday. That's Big Al's Aquarium Supercenter and Animalarium at the corner of State and Franklin in Norristown Pennsylvania. Ah screw it, just look at the turtle picture. I'm just rambling.
Anyway, that's about it for today, I think. I'll leave you with a few motivational posters that help me get through the day...laughing.

However, in her defense, my response would have been, "Prove it Regis!!!" Then we go outside and I measure the moon with my thumb and index finger, then we head to zoo and compare it to an elephant. "I rest my case. Next question." Moral of the rant - Never accept defeat, especially if you know that Regis can't back it up. Peace out.

This one inspires me...but I'm sure it's a little photoshop too.
I miss dating a dancer...
I saw this one and immediately thought of my brother...
For those of you who don't know, this really happened.
